Where Can I Connect?

Outreach

Missions and Service

Through our Faith Work, Fallston UMC provides loving, compassionate care to our brothers and sisters locally, nationally, and internationally.  Each month there are numerous ways that you can make a difference in someone’s life.

Congregational Care

Pastoral care is a vital aspect of any church and the reason many of our faith-family are actively involved in the Congregational Care Ministries.  It is important that all of us reach out to one another in Christ’s love.  If there is a need, we take steps to cover it.  For information on any of the ministries listed below, contact Lisa Greenlund.

Worship

Worship is celebrated each Sunday at 8:45am and 10:00am. Children’s Sunday School is held during both morning services. Our earlier service is an informal worship time that features  music, message, prayer and a time of reflection. Our later morning service is a blended service and includes a children’s message, our adult choir, message and prayer.  It usually lasts about an hour.

Evening Outdoor Worship is being offered this summer 2011 on Monday evenings.  Beginning June 20 and continuing through August 29, we will gather for worship at 7:00 pm.  We will meet in our new outdoor worship space (behind Friendship Center).  In case of inclement weather, we will gather in the sanctuary.  We plan to have a service every Monday, except for July 4.  If you are interested in volunteering to help with this worship experience, please contact Stacey Nickerson.   We would love to have help, especially with music.

Children are a gift from God and are always welcome here.  At our 10:00am worship there is a message time with the pastor before dismissal to Sunday School for those through the elementary grades.  Parents can elect to escort their elementary and younger children to their classrooms, or the children can travel with their escorted group.  Groups meet at the double sanctuary doors after the children’s message.  A rocker and other comfortable seating can be found in our upper level gathering area. If you find that you might be more comfortable there and need to relocate during worship, please feel free to use this area.

Communion (aka Lord’s Supper and Eucharist) is celebrated the first Sunday of the month at both of our worship times.  Our communion table is open to all persons desiring to connect with God through the loaf and the cup.  Traditional bread, gluten free bread and non fermented wine are used.  If you would rather not participate in this portion of the service please feel free to relax and enjoy the music.
